We recommend flying into Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) or Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) for convenient access to the region. These airports offer easy connections and proximity to Aspen.
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is located about 4 miles (10-15 drive) from downtown Aspen, offering quick and easy access to the hotel.
Note ASE is located in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains. Winter weather, including snow and low visibility, can lead to delays and cancellations. While efforts are made to keep the airport operational, winter weather can significantly impact flight schedules. ASE is more prone to weather-related disruptions compared to EGE.
Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is located about 70 miles from Aspen. The drive between the two locations typically takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions. The route primarily follows Interstate 70 and State Highway 82, offering scenic mountain views along the way.
EGE also faces winter weather challenges, but its larger size and longer runway make it slightly more resilient to adverse conditions. EGE generally has better reliability in winter compared to ASE, although it is not immune to weather-related issues. Its ability to handle larger aircraft and more flights can offer more flexibility for travelers.
LifeSci has arranged shuttle services from both airports that will take you directly to the hotel upon arrival.
If you are traveling from the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, please find important information below:
